Ingredients
For Gulab Jamun
- 9 tbsp Milk Powder
- 3 1/2 tbsp All Purpose Flour maida
- 1/2 tbsp Semolina suji
- 3/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tbsp Curd dahi
- 2 tbsp Milk doodh
- 1 tsp Clarified Butter ghee
- Clarified Butter for frying gulab jamun balls ghee talne k liye
For Sugar Syrup
- 250 grams Sugar chini
- 1 cup Water paani
- 3 pcs Pods of Cardamom Teen elaichi k daane
For Garnishing
- Silver Vark chaandi ka vark
- Rose Petals gulab ki pankhoori
- Pistachios pista
Instructions
Process for Sugar Syrup
- In a sauce pan, add water, sugar, cardamom pods, rose water and dissolve the sugar in water till it gets thick on medium heat.
- Notes: The sugar syrup should not be hot.
Process for Making Gulab Jamun
- In a large bowl, add milk powder, all purpose flour, semolina, baking soda, curd, milk and mix everything well.
- Make a soft dough, divide the dough into equal portions sizes and roll it like a small ball.Notes: The balls must be smooth with any cracks or line. Keep them covered.
- Heat ghee in a kadhai/pot, drop a small ball of the dough to check the temperature of the ghee once its medium heat.
- Start frying the Gulab Jamun on medium heat, make sure the ghee is not hot or else the gulab jamun will get brown without cooking.
- Fry the balls till light golden. Keep stiring gently so that it cooks from all the sides.
- Add them to the hot syrup. Allow them to rest atleast for about 15-20 minutes.
- Then transfer it to a serving dish and garnish with silver vark, rose petals and then sprinkle pistachios.
