Spicy Fish Curry
For Marinating Fish
- 6-7 pcs Fish machli
- Salt to taste namak swad anusar
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder haldi
- 4 tbsp Mustard Oil Sarso ka tel
- Marinated Fish
- 1 pc Potato (peeled, cut in wedges) aalo cheel k 4 tukde mein kaat le
For Fish Curry
- Remaining Mustard oil bacha hua sarso tel
- 1 pc Bay Leaf tej patta
- 1/2 tsp Onion Seeds kalaunji
- 1 inch Ginger( julienned) adrakh ko sui ki tarah patla kaat le
- 2 pcs Green Chillies Hari Mirch
- 1/2 cup Onion paste pyaj ka paste
- Fried Potato
- 1/2 tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder degi lal mirch powder
- Water pani
- Salt to taste namak swad anusar
- 1 pc Tomato (cubed) *Optional* tamatar
- Fried Fish tala hua machli
- Fresh Coriander leaves(chopped) dhaniya patta ko baarik kaat le
- Fresh Coriander Leaves Dhaniya patta
Process For Marinating Fish
- Apply turmeric powder, salt to both sides of fish properly and keep aside for further use.
Process For Frying
- In a pan heat mustard oil and fry the marinated fish on medium high heat from both sides untill golden brown color. Remove and keep aside for further use.
- Then add the potato wedges and also fry them untill golden brown in the same oil. Remove and keep aside for further use.
Process For Making Fish Curry
- In the same pan with remaining oil, add bay leaf, onion seeds, ginger julienned, green chillies and saute for few seconds.
- Now add onion paste and continue cooking on medium heat untill it turns light brown and oil starts seperating.
- Then add fried potato, degi red chilli powder, water, salt and cook untill potatoes are completely cooked.
- Add cubed tomatoes, fried fish and stir it properly with light hands. After a minute switch off the flames and cover and let it stir for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the lid and add coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and garnish with coriander leaves.
